Description 작품 소개

This is a novel by Lee HyunSu, published in 2005. It consists of seven chapters about the stories of old gisaengs who live in Buyonggak, starting with “Shin Gisaengdyeon – Bueok eomeom pyeon (New Tales of Gisaengs – Kitchen Mother)” which was published in Dongseo munhak in the summer of 2003. It is the original novel on which the TV drama New Tales of Gisaeng is based on.

Lee HyunSu made her literary debut in 1991 as the winner of the Chungcheong Ilbo New Writer’s Award. She is the author of the short story collection The Rosewood China Cabinet and the novels New Tales of Gisaeng and Four Days.
