Description 작품 소개

A Good Family by Seo Ha-jin is a collection of stories published in 2008. It contains eight stories in total, including “What Grows Out of Sadness,” “Dad's Private Life,” “The Little Thing,” and the title story. In this collection, the author questions the meaning of relationships and interpersonal communication from the perspective of various characters, such as a mother with cancer, a cheating daughter, an ailing doctor who practices Oriental medicine, and a writer who has just embarked on her writing career.

Seo Hajin서하진

Seo Hajin is an assistant professor at Kyung Hee University’s Department of Korean Language and Literature. She has published two novels and six short story collections. The English edition of A Good Family came out from Dalkey Archive Press in 2015. She has received the Hahn Moo-Sook Literary Prize, Baek Shin-ae Literary Award, and Kim Jun Sung Literary Award.
