Description 작품 소개

The story opens on the protagonist (known only as "the boy") and his little brother, who have set up camp in an abandoned office building in the Gangnam area of southern Seoul. For reasons left unclear, most of the city has been destroyed, and what is left is crumbling buildings, feral dogs, burnt-out cars, and usually unfriendly other "survivors."

During the day they have to stay hidden from "those who own the day": things that were people before Seoul was destroyed but no longer are. (As the author writes in the afterword, "You can call them zombies or you can call them something else.")

A chase begins north through Seoul—the boy, his brother, the old man, and a woman chasing after another group of survivors who have kidnapped a girl, and a creature chasing them all. Both groups finally reach an office building in Gwanghwamun, where a stealthy pitched battle between the two groups of survivors is waged.
