Description 작품 소개

종말의 이미지와 이야기들을 그리며 줄곧 묵시록적 종말의 표정을 탐색해 온 시인 서동욱의 두 번째 시집. 최근 한국 철학계에서 활발한 활동을 보이고 있는 신예 철학자이자 치열한 비평을 통해 젊은 시인들의 강력한 지지자로 떠오른 문학비평가이기도 한 시인은 첫 시집 <랭보가 시쓰기를 그만둔 날>을 펴낸 후 10년 만에 새로운 시적 세계를 펼쳐 보인다.

이번 시집에서 시인은 사랑과 종말이 뒤섞인 처연한 '우주 서사'를 통해 죽음, 사랑 등 진부하고 상투적인 관념을 블랙홀, 우주선, 외계인 등과 결합시켜 신선하고 새로운 시어로 탈바꿈시켰다. 이렇게 우주적인 상상력으로 확장된 사랑의 시는 서정성을 뛰어넘는 초서정성을 빚어 내며 그로써 시인은 인간 생애의 희비극성을 그려 낸다.

Seo Dong-Wook is a poet, philosopher, and literary critic. He is a professor of philosophy at Sogang University. He has published three poetry collections, one critical essay collection, and one book of essays, in addition to writing or translating several books of philosophy.
