Park Wansuh(1931–2011) was one of Korea’s most revered writers. She debuted at the age of forty and wrote over a hundred novels and short stories in a career that spanned almost forty years. She received several prestigious awards, including the Republic of Korea’s Geumgwan Order of Cultural Merit. Recently published translations of her books include Who Ate up All the Shinga? (Columbia University Press, 2009), Lonesome You (Dalkey Archive, 2013), and Was that Mountain Really There? (Kitaab, 2018).

Nam Sang-sun
남상순
Nam Sang-sun is a South Korean novelist born in Mungyeong, North Gyeongsang Province. She made her literary debut in 1992 when her short story “San neomeoeneun gijeoksoriga” (산 너머에는 기적소리가 Over the Mountain the Train Whistles) won the Munwha Ilbo New Writer’s Contest. With her 1993 novel Huin baemeul chajaseo (흰 뱀을 찾아서 In Search of the White Snake), she became the recipient of the 17th Today’s Writer Award. Since publishing the YA novel Naneun abeojiui chincheok (나는 아버지의 친척) in 2006, she has written other works for young adults such as Radioeseo tokkiga ttwieonaoda (라디오에서 토끼가 뛰어나오다 The Rabbit That Popped Out of the Radio), Saturi gwisin (사투리 귀신 The Dialect Ghost), and Kiseugamok (키스감옥 Prison of Kisses).

Born in Ganghwa, he majored in Western painting and served as an editor at a publishing company. He finds joy in writing and illustrating books that children love, with notable works including the "Monster Dental Hospital" series, "Eating Nature" series, and the "Reading Goblin" series. He has also published various titles such as "Pig School" and "Human Anatomy Picture Books," and has received several awards for his illustrations.
