Jeon Suo is a Korean poet who began her literary career in 2018 after receiving the New Writer’s Award from the Korean literary magazine Munhaksasang. Through her poetry collections Chain of Light (Minumsa) and Cutting-Edge Spiritual Techniques for Planetary Love (Changbi), she has explored shifting boundaries between reality and the unreality, the human and nonhuman, language and existence.
Her work moves from light, virtual worlds, images, and sensory perception toward questions of technology, signs, and nonhuman existence. Her second collection incorporates reports, observation records, transcripts, notes, and file structures to construct a distinctive poetic world that questions the assumption that humans must remain the primary speakers and perceivers of reality.
Jeon approaches poetry as an open medium where philosophical inquiry and sensory experience intersect, exploring the boundaries between reality and virtuality, the material and immaterial, and language and what may lie beyond it.
